Nieves Muñoz nos narra la batalla de Verdun como nunca antes la habíamos visto; ante nuestros ojos aparecen las vidas de todos aquellos que participaron, de una forma u otra: desde las trincheras, en los pueblos, en el aire, en los hospitales de campaña... Porque como en toda guerra, hubo vencedores y vencidos, pero todos tuvieron alma, y en esta su primera novela Nieves Muñoz nos abre la suya y la de sus personajes para darnos un bien eterno: la esperanza.
